Principal Technical Advisor, Management Sciences for Health

Emmanuel Eghan (Kwesi) is a principal technical advisor with Management Sciences for Health (MSH) based in Arlington, VA where he provides technical leadership on health finance and pharmacy benefit management and has managed a $55million combined portfolio of interventions in Afghanistan, Kenya, Ghana, Liberia and South Sudan.

Kwesi has undertaken a number of start-ups, entrepreneurial ventures in non-profits and mid-sized businesses in various capacities, including as founder, Chief executive, investor, advisor and board member. Kwesi has a professional degree in Pharmacy, an MBA and Masters in Health and Pharmacoeconomics.

In line with the recent book he co-authored,“Medicines Benefits Management in Insurance systems in low-income countries –Adapting Strategies from High-Income Countries,” Kwesi’s academic interest include understanding the factors that influence adoption of technology (electronic health records) by hospitals and healthcare entities.  In addition, he investigates the correlation of claims and billing data with quality of care and outcomes, pricing of and consumer willingness-to-pay for pharmaceutical and other health commodities.


He loves to play tennis and snooker.
