Background

David is currently a global supply manager at SpaceX and has over 10 years of experience in supply chain logistics, procurement and purchasing. In his career journey, David has worked for major organizations like Amazon (across the United States and Europe), UPS and EssilorLuxottica to solve complex challenges related to transportation network design and optimization, industrial engineering and material flow optimization and strategic sourcing and procurement. He has played pivotal roles in expanding supply chain capabilities, managing cross-functional teams to ensure continuity in global supply chain initiatives and spearheading industry-transforming projects.

David earned a B.A. in Political Science from National University and an MBA in Supply Chain Management and International Business from Northeastern University. He is also certified as a PMP, CSM and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. Born and raised in Australia, David now lives in Los Angeles with his two Australian cattle dogs. He is an avid Ducati rider, traveler and photographer. Previously, he spent four years in the U.S. Marine Corps as a heavy machine gunner and infantry squad leader with two combat deployments to Afghanistan.

Research Interest

David is pursuing a DBA to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the digitization and transformation of supply chain logistics in the age of AI and machine learning. His primary research interests are centered on business information systems development and integration as well as operations management and purchasing strategies. He aims to deepen his expertise as the field continues to evolve and adapt to emerging technologies.
