Danielle N. Sloan

Owner and Founder, FractalAI Management Consulting
DBA Scholar

Background

Danielle N. Sloan holds a Bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies with a focus on communication and psychology from West Virginia University and a Master of Business Administration in marketing from Marshall University. She is the founder of FractalAI, an AI consulting firm that helps small businesses streamline operations using generative tools, and the creator of Berry AI, a project designed to make coding more accessible through natural language.

With a background in digital strategy, trauma-informed systems, and communication, Sloan brings a distinctive perspective to her work—bridging technology, equity, and practical problem-solving. Her passion lies in empowering underrepresented entrepreneurs and independent thinkers to use AI to reclaim time, reduce complexity, and scale their ideas.

Research Interest

Now pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) at UNC Charlotte, Sloan is focused on transforming research into action. Her work explores the ethics of AI in business, with a particular interest in the disconnect between corporate AI policies and the systems they implement—a phenomenon she refers to as “dark compliance.” She studies how this gap impacts small businesses, perpetuates systemic inequality, and erodes public trust.
