Background

Abdul is a software engineer with the Wells Fargo Home Lending division. Prior to this, he worked for the Bank of America Global Payments division for 10 years. Abdul moved to the US in 1996 to pursue his Master of Science in Computer Science at Western Kentucky University. Before emigrating, he worked as a mechanical engineer in India for five years after completing his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1989.

Abdul lives in Charlotte with his family of four. His elder daughter is in college and his younger daughter is in high school. He spends much of his free time updating his skillset to meet workplace needs and personal development goals, as well as watching Indian movies and documentaries as time permits. Abdul developed a passion for quants when he started taking elective courses in the UNC Charlotte Part-Time MBA program. One of his main goals for the DBA program is to learn research techniques that will enable him to specialize in quantitative methods and AI decision making.

Research Interest

Abdul wants to focus his research work on fintech topics including AI decision-making, smart products development, business and digital transformation strategies.
