Background

Calnecia Gregg serves as the Administration Superintendent within the Department of Defense, where she applies extensive leadership experience in human resource administration, program management and information systems. She holds a Bachelor of Science in human resource management from Faulkner University and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate. In her current role, she oversees more than ten personnel and six major programs. Gregg is also an active member of the PMP North Carolina Chapter, demonstrating her commitment to professional development and excellence in project leadership.

She earned a Master of Science in information systems from South University and has applied her technical expertise as a unit property custodian and Information Assurance Officer. Throughout her career, Gregg has held key leadership roles at the Joint Force Headquarters, National Guard Bureau and group‑level commands, consistently improving organizational processes and maximizing the capabilities and talents of her teams.

Gregg is currently pursuing the Doctorate in Business Administration at UNC Charlotte to advance workforce development and organizational effectiveness. Her goal is to shape modern workforce environments through evidence‑based process improvement, optimized manpower utilization and enhanced training and accession systems.

Research Interest

Gregg’s research focuses on how organizational systems, administrative policy and human capital practices influence workforce readiness and performance in complex operational environments. Drawing on her experience in the Department of Defense, she examines how structured learning systems, talent development processes and career progression pathways shape organizational capability. Her goal is to identify evidence‑based strategies that strengthen learning cultures, improve workforce development and enhance mission readiness through better alignment of people, processes and policy.
