Solomon Johnson

Background

Solomon Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Shaw University and a Master of Science in supply chain management with a specialty in logistics, trade and transportation from the University of Southern Mississippi. He also completed training in economic development at the University of Southern Mississippi. Johnson is the founder and CEO of Johnson Exports LLC, an international logistics and freight‑forwarding company specializing in innovative supply chain management solutions and trade consultancy.

With a background in logistics, trade and transportation, Johnson brings a distinctive perspective to his work, with expertise in global supply chain network design, international trade regulatory compliance, customs compliance and quantitative business research methods. He is passionate about empowering underprivileged youth and communities, and he enjoys traveling and reading.

Research Interest

Johnson’s research interests center on the evolving transformation of global supply chain networks in the face of global shipping disruptions and tariff‑regulation uncertainty. He is particularly interested in the impact of these disruptions and uncertainties on small, medium and family‑owned businesses.
