Background

Ms. Lewis received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Fayetteville State University, a constituent of the University of North Carolina and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix, which she obtained while supporting several military defense programs. Ms. Lewis has more than 21 years of demonstrated success in working with the defense industry. She has worked in cross-functional roles and executive leadership in support of enterprise scale network transport systems, solutions development, operations, business development, program and project management, evolving technology research and design, enterprise integration, strategic solutions management, and network operations. Ms. Lewis is extremely active in her community serving on several boards and committees. In particular, she serves on the board of directors for the Association of the US Army as the State President for North Carolina where she provides support for soldiers and their families.

Research Interest

Her research interests include future generation workforce trends within the area of cyber security, information technology, operations management, organizational leadership, and workforce demographics focusing on the Millennial and iGeneration. As a leader and company executive, paving the path for future successors and creating a desirable work environment are increasingly important as technology and cyber security challenges become more prevalent and increasingly require specialized skills previously sought by technology companies. Multiple problems surround this ongoing gap within the workforce and created several paths for her dissertation to evolve.
