Background
Melissa Hall is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Melissa graduated from Pfeiffer University with a Master of Business Administration in 2017. She currently serves as the Chief Operations Officer/Executive Vice President for Monarch, a behavioral healthcare organization. Monarch serves over 30,000 adults and children who are diagnosed with mental health disorders and developmental disabilities. Services are provided in settings such as community, residential, outpatient and facility-based crisis centers. As an Executive, she specifically works with the Behavioral health division overseeing financial management, service development and administration. Melissa has also completed the Leadership Consortium organized by the University of Delaware.
Melissa is pursuing her DBA to better enable her to succeed in the healthcare field and achieve her goals. Obtaining her DBA will position her to advance in the areas of strategic planning, decision making and professional development in the healthcare field.
Melissa has lived in North Carolina for over 25 years and has been married for 23 years and has children. Melissa enjoys traveling and spending time with family; she also supports the local Special Olympics.
Research Interest
Melissa’s area of interest for research encompasses healthcare combined with business administration. Potential areas of focus are in human resources and organizational culture related to staff retention in the area of the healthcare field.
