Dr. Tracy Worthey

Tracy Worthey is a Charlotte native and strategic human resources leader with more than 20 years of experience helping organizations grow through effective talent practices. As an independent HR consultant, she partners with leaders to design practical, high-impact workforce solutions that strengthen performance and organizational success.

Her career spans higher education and multiple industries, including banking, retail and insurance. Tracy has held key leadership roles, including director of talent acquisition at UNC Charlotte and chief human resources officer at both an HBCU and a TCU. In these roles, she led enterprise-wide HR strategy, workforce planning and inclusive talent development initiatives.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Master of Public Administration. Currently, Tracy is pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration with a focus on building a distinctive brand centered on identifying, cultivating and advancing talent. Driven by a passion for people and organizational excellence, Tracy is committed to bridging research and practice to create meaningful, sustainable workforce solutions.
