Chad Lovett has a very diverse 29-year career in healthcare which has spanned from the clinical bedside, marketing and business development to executive leadership as a Hospital Chief Executive Officer. He started his career as a Licensed Practice Nurse and continued his education to receive an Associate of Arts degree from Tarrant County Community College. Chad then moved forward in that endeavor to obtain my bachelor of science degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. As he noticed the educational requirement of a healthcare executive’s landscape beginning to change, he pursued his Master of Business Administration at Shorter University in Georgia. Currently, Chad holds the Hospital Director position for the North Carolina Department of Public Safety Central Prison Healthcare Complex. He also leads a multifaceted healthcare complex that services the North Carolina state prison system’s healthcare needs ranging from physician visits, sub-specially clinics, telemedicine, out-patient mental health, and inpatient medical and mental health acute care. Chad currently pursuing a Doctorate of Business Administration as a natural progression of his current educational path in a desire to set himself above his peers in an industry that is currently dominated by MBA degrees.

Chad’s research interest would include the effectiveness of healthcare cost saving strategies and impacts of post-acute health care provider systems such as Long Term Acute Care Hospitals, Home Health and Skilled Nursing facilities on the financial payer systems.
