Joe Faldowski, PMP, is currently the chief operations officer of Orano Federal Services, a nuclear engineering and technology company providing solutions to the US Department of Energy in a broad range of nuclear energy related areas. Prior to his current position, he held various positions within Orano and its predecessor company, Areva, including director of operations, president and COO of CHT, and project manager. As part of a leadership development program, Joe spent two and a half years working in Orano’s nuclear industrial facilities in France and is conversant in French.
Joe earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Nuclear Engineering from Penn State University, where his research focused on fundamental damage mechanisms to metallic crystal lattices under irradiation. Prior to his career in industry, he taught engineering design and graphics at Penn State. He is pursuing his Doctorate in Business Administration to deepen his understanding of business management and improve his business leadership skills.
