Kenya received a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Purdue University and a Master’s of Business Administration from Meredith College. Kenya is the Director of Solutions Management at Allscripts Healthcare Solutions LLC, a healthcare software company with solutions that enable smarter care, delivered with greater precision, for healthier patients, populations and communities. Before working at Allscripts, Kenya was a member of the senior leadership team for a Pharmaceutical company consulting in the areas of program management, strategic planning, process improvement and large-scale transformations. Kenya is a public member of the NC Board of Podiatrists and a certified project management professional (PMP). Kenya is pursuing a doctoral degree in Business Administration to prepare her for a teaching position in the university system, future entrepreneurial opportunities and hopes that her research data will help drive improvement in the healthcare business community.
Kenya’s interests include traveling around the world, learning new culinary techniques and spending time with friends and family.
Kenya’s research interests are in the areas of mergers and acquisitions as the healthcare industry continues to experience a significant degree of consolidation. With healthcare providers combining to create larger healthcare delivery organizations to achieve greater market power, Kenya plans to analyze this trend extensively and develop best practices to help healthcare organizations fully realize the potential benefits of acquisitions. Other research interests include analyzing the impact of AI (artificial intelligence) solutions and pandemic related illnesses, such as COVID-19 on the healthcare industry and its professionals. Kenya believes this trend has increased the market's need for more integrated healthcare software solutions.
