Background

John A. Gory has over 30 years of military experience and skills across the spectrum. His experience spans an extensive wealth of knowledge, skills, and abilities in the management and leadership capacity. Dr. Gory's passion to teach coach, train, mentor and develop others is what drove his interest in the doctoral field of study at the UNC Charlotte Belk College of Business. He currently teaches Cadets enrolled in the ROTC Program as a Military Science Instructor (MSI) within the Military Science Department at Memorial Hall. His education includes: Graduate of the United States Sergeants Major Academy (USASMA) Fort Bliss, TX. (Class 57); MBA from Excelsior College, Human Resource Management, Graduated Cum Laude July 2015; MA from Webster University, Management and Leadership, Oct 2008; BS from Excelsior College, Business Administration, Graduated Magna Cum Laude, April 2007.

Research Interest

Dr. Gory's research interest includes Business Leadership, Management and Business Information Systems. He is an enrolled student at Excelsior College in Albany, New York, pursuing a Graduate Certification in Security Awareness and Information program. He has also completed several course requirements towards completion of the graduate level certificate in cybersecurity. His educational goal is to become a university professor, where he can continue to teach, develop, instruct and assist students in accomplishing their goals in leadership and management relevant to their academic field of study.
