Jennifer Adelhardt is a seasoned leader with nearly two decades of experience in the financial services industry. As a senior director of experience product management at TIAA, Jen leads a team of product managers in the development of customer-centric, end-to-end solutions focused on creating cohesive, easy and delightful experiences for users. Her leadership style is defined by her "lead with kindness" and "assume positive intent" mantras, which have helped her build strong relationships with people at every level. Jen is committed to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion, and she was formally recognized with the 2020 TIAA Inclusive Leader of the Year award.
In pursuing the DBA at UNC Charlotte, Jen will be focused on the value of psychological safety and the benefits of diverse teams in the workplace. Her goal is to quantify the impacts of these critical elements and apply this knowledge effectively in the corporate setting. Jen hypothesizes that such a culture is essential for driving innovation, creativity and productivity, and that it will positively impact the bottom line. Her research will explore effective strategies for quantifying a culture of inclusion and psychological safety and applying those strategies to financial outcomes.
