Yessica Sierra is originally from Honduras and currently serves as the chief financial officer for Camino, a nonprofit organization that has been providing services to the Latino community for over 25 years. Yessica is a dynamic and analytical professional with over 15 years expertise in financial, administrative and operational functions.
Yessica has been with Camino since 2020 and previously led a logistic company with operations across Latin America, the United States, Europe and Asia. Yessica earned a bachelor's degree in finance from the Catholic University of Honduras, an MBA from Queens University of Charlotte, and a graduate certificate in Data Science and Business Analytics from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
Yessica moved to Charlotte, NC, in January 2019. She enjoys cooking and traveling and has traveled to over 30 countries so far.
Yessica’s research will focus on the impact of data science to maximize resources for nonprofit organizations in order to better serve those in need in the community.
Yessica is very passionate about serving others and is confident that the Doctorate in Business Administration, combined with her passion, will equip her to make an impactful contribution to the nonprofit world. By ensuring the organization’s financial health and sustainability, Yessica will help the community receive the high-quality services they deserve long-term.
